MineRP Survey & Reconciliation Protocol
Now for something completely different! The Exploration and Mining Business Process Model (see post 1 of this series) also lends itself to visualizing other important mining perspectives including a single planning process (see post 2 of this series) and now a reconciliation information flow.
Put together two surveyors, an engineer and a miner with 150 years’ experience between them and you can get one of these. It’s not a process map but an information flow in the form of another ‘scroll’; usefully colour coded by multi-discipline involvement. Besides providing some useful clarity for getting reconciliation conversations going, it also answers a long standing dispute about the role of Surveyors.
